Hi, I'm Yumi Kim
Motion Designer

I am a Motion Designer pursuing a B.F.A. in Motion Media Design at Savannah College of Art and Design.
With a deep passion for visual storytelling, I specialize in translating concepts into compelling motion graphics
that enhance narratives and engage audiences.

While my primary focus is on design, I take a holistic approach to animation, ensuring that every movement
strengthens the message and creates a cohesive visual experience. I thrive on exploring different creative
disciplines, collaborating across fields, and continuously pushing the boundaries of motion design.

What does Q.O I.O mean?

My art philosophy is a question mark and an exclamation mark. I would like to when the viewers first look at my artwork,
they are fascinated by the visuals, so there is a question mark in their heads. After looking at my artwork, there is
an exclamation mark in their heads or minds because they recognize a message in my artwork.
So I looked up the etymology of question marks and exclamation marks. It originated from Latinand
the question mark was used as quaestio, and then only qo was used, and then vertically written as QO, became
a question mark. The exclamation mark was also used as IO, and the vertical form became the exclamation mark.
Therefore, I defined QOIO, an abbreviation of question marks and exclamation marks, as a term that represents me.

quaestio - qo - ?
io - !
